24 Seven Communications Ltd is bringing enhanced connectivity to the Panasonic Toughpad FZ-G1. The Toughbook, a fully ruggedized Windows 10 Pro tablet developed for use by field workforces in outdoor scenarios, will now benefit from unbeatable mobile connectivity by using the national roaming Jump® SIM. This will be the first collaboration between 24 Seven and Panasonic.
The Jump® SIM and Toughpad have recently completed a rigorous testing process, with extremely positive results providing excellent compatibility. Although the solution has been developed with the agricultural and utilities industries in mind, there is great potential across a range of sectors, including the Emergency Services and Defence.
Mobility solutions using national roaming connectivity can make critical business processes much easier, by ensuring consistent connectivity for employees who use Toughpads. The solution addresses long-standing barriers to employee productivity, by providing businesses with a reliable, enterprise grade network connection.
David Samuel, Managing Director of 24 Seven said: “We’re very pleased to be working with Panasonic. The combination of the UK’s first national roaming solution, our Jump® SIM, and the Toughpad, the world’s most durable tablet, serves to provide a range of industries with an extremely beneficial, hard-wearing, connected and reliable device. This has the potential to change the way business customers operate entirely. We’re looking forward to seeing how our relationship with Panasonic develops.”
Oliver Ledgard, Channel Sales Manager (UK and Ireland) at Panasonic Business commented: “The Jump SIM is a great addition to our Toughpad, and M2M holds so much potential over a broad range of sectors. Because of our partnership with 24 Seven, we can provide a solution that is consistent and reliable, which is exactly what consumers need, especially when their business can be so reliant upon it.”
24 Seven’s Jump® SIM was launched in 2015, and connects thousands of business customers and industrial services, across a broader range of networks, providing greater connectivity. The technology enables customers to connect to the network with the strongest signal when connection drops. The solution continues to be well received in private and public sector markets.
